I like pointing my camera at pretty things, and making pretty pictures to share with others. I come from a long family line of artists, but photography is the first medium I've ever studied that really speaks to me.
I do, however, consider myself an artist first and a photographer second. I don't shy away from post-processing the hell out of a picture to get it to look like what I want it to look like.
Sometimes, this pisses photographic purists off. Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn

My camera is a tool that I use to produce my art. The camera is a means to an end for me. I am the artist, not the camera.
About my work:
While I may enjoy having others see my work, and I may publish it here for that purpose, my work is not in the public domain. My work belongs to me. My work is not for free. My work does not belong to you. Don't steal it. Don't download it. Don't claim it as yours. Really.
I have one exception to the rule that my work may not be used by others:
If you want to use one of my shots as the basis for a work of your own art, and that work of yours is a not-for-profit enterprise, you may use my work. I'd appreciate your checking with me first (it's polite, you know), and letting me know that you're using it. Also, I require you acknowledge my work and my ownership of it as part of your post of your derived work, and I require you to post a link back to where you found the original when you post your own work.
That is all...
